29er Halyard connector

The PS12 3mm halyard fall is designed as the middle connector between the main halyard fall and the jib halyard fall. Its only function is to allow the sails to come down, meaning the rope travels upwards inside the mast. The PS12 itself is intentionally lightweight and not made to bear any load.

To attach the connector piece to the halyards:

Pull both the jib halyard and the main halyard down until the eye splices of both halyards appear at the bottom of the mast

Splice one end of the connector piece into one of the halyards it doesnt matter which halyard. It is best to use an eye splice to connect them

Attach a thin messenger line to the top end of the halyard that is not yet connected to the connector piece and pull this halyard down

Make an eye splice in the free end of the connector piece

Then splice the end of the halyard you pulled out of the mast back into the connector piece

Use the thin messenger line to pull the halyard back through the mast

Hoist the sails to adjust the correct length of the halyards
