Description
Modern rope design combined with traditional rope making expertise. The new DockFlex mooring line shows its strengths in uncalm harbours with strong swells. With its innovative double braided construction from high-strength polyester, it holds and holds and holds.. It guarantees outstanding breaking loads with almost unique stretch characteristics. A special coating minimises water absorption, the mooring line does not soak up water and remains ‘light’.
Features
- UV-resistant polyester sheath with high abrasion protection
- Very good damping
- Easy to splice double plait
- Kink-free, non-slip, flexible
- Special coating for minimised water absorption
- Ideally suited as mooring line, anchor line & towline
Number of mooring lines
Ideally, a boat is secured with four mooring lines.
The stern line is attached to the stern of the boat to maintain a constant distance between the boat and the mooring. The bow line serves exactly the same purpose. The two springs prevent the boat from drifting forwards and backwards. The springs are particularly important in waters with high and low tides or in waters with strong currents.
Everything you need to know about splicing
The splice addition in the image is intended for a splice with an eye of up to 40 cm. If a further splice is required, e.g. on the other end, the splice addition must also be taken into account. Otherwise, in the case of a one-ended splice, the opposite end is always whipped. For an eye splice of more than 40 cm in length, an additional 50 cm must be added to the existing splice addition.
Note:
The exact eye length is measured by pulling the eye lengthwise and measuring the distance from left to right (clear dimension).
Please note that a custom-make must be at least 2 metres long. For shorter lengths, please contact our customer service on 0421-572900 or by email to: .
