Description
Add fillers to thicken the expoxy to the desired consistency for a specific job. Unmodified resin / hardener has the consistency of syrup and runs off vertical surfaces (suitable for coating and wettting out porous surfaces). By adding filler, a “thicker” consistency can be achieved (suitable for filling cavities, fillets, making large, uneven bondings and for use as a filler). Filleting Blend 405 is a strong, wood-coloured epoxy filler. Perfect for making epoxy joints and fillets on natural wood.
Quantity estimate (approximate percentage by weight of filler required to be added to the mixed epoxy resin):
- Slightly thickened (ketchup): 3
- Medium thickened (mayonnaise) 5%
- Maximum thickened (peanut butter): 8%.
