RULE 500 AUTOMATIC BILGE PUMP
The Rule 500 automatic bilge pump is engineered to deliver high performance in the marine sector, ensuring that your vessel’s bilge remains dry. Utilizing advanced technology, this pump monitors water presence every 2.5 minutes, keeping the bilge water at an optimal level.
A distinctive feature of Rule bilge pumps is the early activation mechanism: it triggers when the water level reaches 5/8 of an inch (1.6 cm), operating more effectively than standard systems that allow accumulation up to 5 cm before activation. Additionally, the pump can discharge water down to 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm), significantly reducing the risks of floating debris and moisture problems inside the vessel.
With a nominal flow rate of 2,165 l/h (575 GPH) under no back pressure, this pump offers substantial pumping capacity with a head height of 2 m, lowering the flow rate to 1,022 l/h (270 GPH) at that height. The pump’s screw-in outlet facilitates easy installation and maintenance, while the built-in check valve prevents unwanted backflow into the bilge.
The pump’s filter is not interchangeable with older models but can be easily mounted to existing screw holes without requiring structural modifications. For optimal installation, the pump is compatible with flexible hoses of 19 mm (3/4 inch) inner diameter or NPSM fittings of 19 mm (3/4 inch).
This unit has a maximum power draw of 1.6 A (13.6 V), necessitating a 4 A fuse. The compact dimensions make the Rule 500 suitable for vessels with limited space, measuring 10.7 cm in height, 7.4 cm in width, and 6.4 cm in depth (excluding outlet), with an approximate cable length of 75 cm.
